Part Time/ 20 Hours Per week/ Permanent
Keep our buildings, workspaces, and its surroundings to the highest standard of cleanliness.
Join our team which is known for providing high quality commercial workspaces for business tenants. We take pride in providing a clean and inviting environment for our customers and you will become a vital member of the team making that happen.
This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week during Monday to Friday 10:30-14:30. You’ll be based at Dock however may be required to work from Gresham Works on occasion.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll clean public and staff only areas including toilets, shower and changing areas. You’ll empty litter bins, vacuum/sweep designated communal areas, polish and dust fixtures and fittings as well remove any unpleasant substances. You’ll ensure your work is completed in line with all legal requirements including COSHH regulations, and those relating to health and safety and the use of mechanical equipment. Maintaining basic security checks such as locking and unlocking areas of the building, you’ll ensure the building is kept safe. You’ll carry out manual handling of cleaning equipment, a range of tools and buckets of water in between work areas to ensure cleaning duties are completed efficiently. Quite often as the first point of contact, you’ll provide friendly and high-quality customer service.
What you’ll need
You’ll be a person who takes pride, enjoys cleaning, and has a reasonable level of fitness as this is a physically demanding role. You’ll be able to work as a team and independently, using your initiative when resolving problems. With knowledge of health and safety regulations you’ll be able to use and maintain cleaning equipment including vacuums. In addition, you’ll have experience of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in public areas. Dedicated and consistent, you’ll be a team player, flexible and willing to get stuck in.
