Could you be a Sense Community Support Worker?
We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Communicator Guide (Community Support Worker) to join our team in Stourport-on-Severn (Worcestershire).
This is a permanent role, working 11 hours per week. For Communicator Guide (Community Support Worker) role, you will receive £11.75 per hour. You require a full UK license with business insurance added on and must be willing to drive around the West Midlands. Prior experience with the deafblind community would be beneficial.
This is a fun and rewarding opportunity to support a Lady who has deafblindness to access the community for social and leisure purposes. She communicates via fingerspelling on the individual’s cheek and responds in speech.
As a Communicator Guide, you will be supporting the person to participate in activities they enjoy and have meaningful experiences. You will support them to make their own choices of how they want to spend their day, but a typical day in this role might be spent:
- Doing activities like listening to music
- Going for a massage
- Horse-riding sessions
The shift pattern for this role is flexible and can be mutually agreed with the individual.
