About the ARRS GP Role
The ARRS GP (Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme) provides newly qualified doctors with the chance to work within a supportive framework, gaining invaluable experience while contributing to the success of the surgery. As an ARRS GP, you will take on a range of duties including consultations, patient administration, and providing clinical advice to your medical and nursing colleagues.
In addition to your core responsibilities, the surgery will support you in developing a specialty role tailored to your interests, allowing you to grow your clinical expertise in an area of your choice.
Key Responsibilities
As an ARRS GP, your key duties will include:
- Consultations: Conduct face-to-face consultations, telephone consultations, and perform home visits as part of your regular clinics.
- Clinical Expertise: Take ownership of a designated area of clinical responsibility. You will develop expertise in this field and become a clinical lead, ensuring the highest standards of care and service delivery.
- Collaboration: Provide clinical advice and support to medical and nursing staff, promoting effective teamwork within the practice.
- Primary Care Network (PCN): Actively participate in activities supporting the Primary Care Network (PCN) and the Integrated Care Board (ICB).
- Quality Standards: Uphold NHS contract requirements and contribute to quality outcome frameworks while focusing on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Patient Satisfaction: Help maintain or increase patient satisfaction scores, aiming to meet or exceed national average levels.
