About the Role
As a Warehouse and Cleaning Operative at Medequip, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation of our Woodford Green depot. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards in the decontamination, cleaning, and management of medical equipment, contributing to the success of the team and helping to provide an exceptional service to our clients. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and safety of the medical devices that we deliver to service users.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles safely and in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Decontaminating and cleaning medical devices and equipment to ensure they are safe for use.
- Managing goods in and out, utilizing barcode system scanners to maintain accurate records.
- Picking and quality-assuring daily delivery workloads to ensure that all items meet the required standards.
- Carrying out PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) and LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) checks to ensure all equipment is in safe working condition.
- Occasionally performing general repair tasks within the depot as required.
- Delivering a high level of service with empathy and care, even though you may not always have direct customer interaction.
About You

- Experience in a warehouse or cleaning operative role is desirable, though not essential.
- Flexibility in working hours and days to meet the needs of the business.
- Willingness to participate in an emergency on-call rota when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A positive attitude, an ability to embrace change, and a passion for delivering high-quality service.
