Role Overview: Global Compensation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Compensation Manager to join our Human Capital team at Latham & Watkins. This key role will focus on designing and implementing compensation policies and strategies that align with the firm’s business goals. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing compensation standards, ensuring equitable implementation, and supporting consistent execution of compensation programs.
This role will be based in London EC2M or Manchester, with the possibility of a flexible hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compensation Strategy & Policy Development: Collaborate with Human Capital leadership to create and implement compensation strategies tailored to business needs and goals.
- Policy Advice & Interpretation: Provide guidance on compensation policies, including job architecture, design, and decision-making.
- Annual Compensation Cycles: Partner with HR Operations and HRIS teams to support the annual salary/bonus cycles and ensure smooth implementation.
- Compensation Research & Analysis: Conduct research on market trends, providing analysis to support future compensation decisions.
- Compliance & Regulation: Stay updated on compensation regulations and ensure the firm’s policies comply with the latest standards.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
- Compensation Expertise: Extensive knowledge of compensation best practices and market trends.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data and develop strategies based on findings.
- Experience: Proven track record in compensation administration, strategic HR, or financial analysis. Previous experience with implementing and administering compensation policies is essential.
- Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification is preferred.
