About the Role:
L&Q is seeking a dedicated and reliable Relief Caretaker to join our Estate Services team in West London. This is a full-time, permanent position that plays an essential role in maintaining the quality and safety of our communal areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering multiple sites across the region, providing critical support during periods of caretaker absence, such as annual leave, sickness, and vacancies.
As a Relief Caretaker, you will work independently but also as part of a team, ensuring that tasks like cleaning, grounds maintenance, small repairs, and health & safety checks are completed to the highest standard. You will need excellent time management skills and a proactive attitude to effectively handle various responsibilities at different sites. A UK manual driving license is desirable but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain communal areas in residential blocks and estates.
- Perform cleaning and grounds maintenance tasks.
- Carry out small repairs and health & safety checks.
- Ensure security measures are followed and address any safety concerns.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while managing your own time effectively.
- Use basic IT skills for reporting, team meetings, and training sessions.
What We Are Looking For:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
- Practical experience in cleaning, maintenance, and basic DIY tasks.
- IT skills, including Word and Excel.
- A proactive approach to work and a commitment to safety practices.
- A clean, full manual UK driving license (desirable).
- Previous caretaking experience would be beneficial.
